Overview
Firstly, the show is set in Birmingham, England in the year 1919. Few months after the First World War, Thomas Shelby and his brothers return from the War. They served in the War. They are known by names like bookkeepers, racketeers, and gangsters. Thomas Shelby is ambitious and cunning. The Peaky Blinders have control over the city of Birmingham. However, Thomas’s ambition is to extend its power and trade beyond the town.
When their activities catch the attention of Major Chester Campbell, he is sent over by Winston Churchill to clean up the city off criminals, communists, and the IRA. As the story continues, we see Tommy expanding his organizations and being elected as the Member of Parliament. He marries Grace.
The fifth season of Peaky Blinders ended with Grace dead and Thomas holding a gun against his head and screaming. This was a significant cliff-hanger, and the fans are hoping he did not kill himself. However, the director in an interview mentioned that he had a discussion with Cillian, who is playing the role of Thomas, and he is all ready to continue.
