The Orville Season 3 is set to return on Netflix soon

Orville Season 3

Showrunners behind The Orville have given a go-ahead for the production of its Orville Season 3, and filming began on 21 October 2019 and is still in the works.

The Orville is a comedy sci-fi drama inspired by several sci-fi sources including, but not limited to, Star Trek, which the show heavily parodies. The show has been a hit among the audiences, and, with two great seasons behind us, here’s all you need to know about the upcoming third season.

The Orville Season 3 Release Date

As previously mentioned, the filming of Season 3 began on 21 October 2019. The current pandemic, however, might prove to be a major speed bump in the show’s production and might even push back the third season’s release to 2021.

So far all we have is a tweet from streaming service Hulu confirming that there will indeed be a season 3 of The Orville and that it will be streamed as a Hulu original instead of airing on Fox like the first two seasons.

The trailer for season 3 might drop about a month before its premiere, whenever that may be.

The Orville Season 3 Speculation

The third season of the show will supposedly have 13 episodes, each around 10 minutes longer than the previous seasons. Season 3 might dwell on the fallout of Isaac’s decisions from the last two episodes of season 2.

Showrunner David Goodman has stated that he plans to give viewers a deeper take into the Union, the aliens, and the show’s main characters. Series creator cum lead actor Seth MacFarlane has also stated that season 3 will “up the stakes”.
