Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece is coming to Netflix. Yes! you read it right. The iconic anime that was launched way back in 1997 in 96 tankōbon volumes, is coming to the largest online streaming platform in June this year.
The magnetic character of Luffy has attracted for decades and the show creators have given rights to Netflix to take it worldwide. The official announcement came from Netflix on Twitter. “Squeezing the first two arcs of One Piece into sixty seconds stretched our editors to the breaking point, but the results are worth it. As per the details revealed on twitter, One Piece will be released on June 12th, 2020, in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. At present, Netflix will release two sagas of One Piece. We can expect Netflix to drop the remaining sagas in the future.
