At the beginning of filming and post-production, Donald Glover had a cameo in Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, over time, after the post-production, Donald Glover’s cameo was cut off from the film. Moreover, the cut came into being at the time of the early editing of the script.

Back in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, Donald Glover played the role of Aaron Davis, a petty thief. On the other hand, Aaron Davis is the uncle of Miles Morales, another Spider-Man who could turn invisible at will. In the 2018’s Sony’ Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales was the protagonist of the movie, and there was Peter Parker alongside inter-dimensional Spider-Man.

Why was Donald Glover cut off from Spider-Man: Far From Home?

Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna are the screenwriters of Spider-Man Far From Home. Initially, the writers did want to bring Donald Glover in Far From Home. However, they came to the conclusion that the Europe-set sequel needs require getting away from the residents of New York City, immediately.

McKenna also told Hollywood Reporter that they initially did want to bring Aaron Davis into the movie. Nevertheless, the film didn’t spend a lot of time in the heart of Queens; instead, the whole story takes place all over Europe. Moreover, this was all the reason as to why Aaron Davis was cut off from the movie.

Aaron is still a significant part of the MCU

The writers are in love with the character Aaron Davis, but it was necessary to move Spider-Man away from New York once and for all. There were tons of things that the writers want to do with Aaron Davis and Spider-Man in New York. Yet, they didn’t have much time.

Spider-Man: Far From Home came into being in early July, and it did break significant box office records. On the other hand, the movie was also a conclusion of the heartbreaking Endgame which came earlier this year.
