Spike Lee is energized as the movie Da 5 Blood is out at the correct hour

Reportedly, the renowned filmmaker Spike Lee said that his new feature “Da 5 Bloods” is a “timely piece of art” means it is coming out at the right time because, in the wake of the death of George Floyd, the entire world started to discuss racial problems.

The film, which was premiered on Netflix on 13th June, has the story where we see four black veterans who go it Vietnam to recover the body of their leader (Chadwick Boseman) and they discover gold which was buried years ago. The immortality of the Vietnam war is confronted by the heroes battle forces of humanity and nature.

This film was premiered at that time when the whole US was protesting against the brutal murder of George Floyd. A white Minneapolis police officer harshly pressed his knee into Floyes’s neck for several minutes, until the 46-year-old black man died.

In an interview, the Oscar-winning director Spike Lee revealed that he does not want to take any credit for the film. Everything happens for a reason. What is done is done. So it was shot but was not released then and is releasing now, there must have been a reason, and yes we all can see it. And then, he further added that “When something is repeated all the time it becomes a cliché, but that doesn’t mean it’s not the truth. And the truth I’m talking about is timing is everything”. He says that He is really happy that this movie is releasing at the correct time, as the world needs it.

The most famous director, Spike Lee, also stated that the newest generation does not know anything about the Vietnam War because the elders have not bothered to tell them anything about it.

Apart from that Spike Lee, who has won an Oscar for his last directorial “BlackKklansman”, also mentioned that he came from the line of educators and I simply cannot blame young generation and say that they don’t know anything. He continued that if at all, the younger generation doesn’t know, then it’s because the older generation didn’t teach them or didn’t tell them about it. It goes for all the black, white, brown and everybody.

“Da 5 Bloods” has also starred Isiah Whitlock Jr, Jonathan Majors, Delroy Lindo, Jean Reno, Melanie Thierry, Clarke Peters, Paul Walter Hauser, Norm Lewis, and Jasper Paakkonen.
