Disney made many notable announcements at the D23 conference in California over the weekend. One of the news shared by Disney was the arrival of Wandavision series. The announcement of the series came with some exciting facts. The series is going to be directed by Matt Shakman, director of the widely popular show Games of Thrones. On top of that, Randall Park will be back to his character of Agent Woo from the famous sci-fi arrangement Ant-Man and the wasp and so will Kat Dennings as Darcy from Thor: The Dark World.
Shakman is going to direct a mini-series which will have a total of six epsiodes. Before this announcement, there were rumors that the series was either going to be Wandavision or Loki.
Matt said that it is going to be a whole lot of experience for him to direct this show. “I think we’ve all been quite taken by that union (agent woo and Darcy). It (WandaVision) is the exploration of that bizarre, strange, completely right kind of love and it’s about watching them explore their relationship and growing it”, Matt quotes.
The series will feature Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as the main leads. They will be back on screen with their characters as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett witch and the Vision respectively. Also, it has been confirmed that Kathryn Hahn will be playing the character of a ‘nosy neighbor’ .
The filming of the series has not been started yet. The release date has not been scheduled, but it is supposed to be set in 2021.
