Apart from that, one of the most prestigious media sources has also confirmed this sad news.

The 73-year-old star left his remarkable impact on the viewer’s mind by his great singing skills, and everbody was amazed by the way he plays the guitar.

One of England’s finest blues guitarists, inductee Peter Green co-founded Fleetwood Mac along with drummer Mick Fleetwood in 1967.

He and Mick were two of eight members in the band, which include Stevie Nicks, John McVie, Danny Kirwan, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Jeremy Spencer.

He wrote most of the early songs of the group, and led Fleetwood Mac for fewer than three years, between 1967 to 1970. However, he left the group before it became a world-leading pop hitmaker in the late 1970s.

As per the several reports, within the first year of the band, it became very popular in Britain. In 1968, it had a No. 1 single with the instrumental “Albatross,” which was written by Mr. Green.

After battling with his mental health, Peter Green left the band, and later, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and spent time in hospital in the mid-70s. And in 1998, Green and the other Fleetwood Mac members started the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Former band members and many fans took their social media to express their grief over talented singer Green’s passing.

Fellow musicians Mick Fleetwood stated that “For me, and every past and present member of Fleetwood Mac, losing Peter Green is monumental!Peter was the man who started the band Fleetwood Mac along with myself, John McVie, and Jeremy Spencer.”

And then he added that “No one has ever stepped into the ranks of Fleetwood Mac without reverence for Peter Green and his talent, and to the fact that music should shine bright and always be delivered with uncompromising passion.” And he continued that “Peter, I will miss you, but rest easy your music lives on. I thank you for asking me to be your drummer all those years ago. We did good, and trail blazed one hell of a musical road for so many to enjoy”. “Godspeed to you, my dearest friend.”

Apart from that, Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler also took to his Twitter and mourned Green’s demise, and penned a note that “Sad to hear of Peter Green passing–one of the greats. RIP,”.
