Diablo IV is finally coming! After the release was confirmed on November 1st 2019 at BlizzCon 2019. The announcement meant that the 8 years wait for the next game was finally coming to an end. Although the official release date wasn’t announced, it could be expected to drop sometime in 2021 or 2022. The first game of the series came out all the way back in January 3rd 1997.
Diablo was developed by Blizzard Entertainment. The game has the same director (Luis Barriga) as World of Warcraft: Legion. Blizzard also confirmed several new game modes that weren’t present in any of its predecessors.
Plot and Gameplay
From the little information that was announced about the game, it seems like it has expanded to a scale that this series has never seen before. The game seems to be having its classical elements of looting based gameplay and retaining its replayability. Some of the exciting new features that we will see in the fourth instalment include open world and PVP.
Blizzard announced that we would have three-character classes in the game which are – Barbarian, Sorceress and Druid. Each class will have their own missions and quests to be completed. The ultimate goal is to take down the evil Lilith who was thought to be banished but was summoned by a mysterious stranger.
Blizzard gave us a sneak peek into the new game to show us what we can expect in the form of two well-made trailers. Although this got all of us excited for the drop, it will only be the tip of the iceberg for what’s to come in the game. The fourth season already has gamers all around the world waiting for the release and judging by its predecessors, the game surely won’t disappoint!
