It is reportedly releasing on the Netflix on July 09, 2020. Masaaki Yuasa, who is well-known for directing Netflix’s Devilman Crybaby, has helmed the most popular animated film. ‘Japan Sinks 2020’ is much inspired by the most selling science fiction novel written by Sakyo Komatsu. Japan Sink: 2020 is an animated disaster film which is all about how Japan sinks into the ocean. In the movie, an ordinary family makes all possible efforts for survival as the islands of Japan are devastated by earthquakes. This animated film is based on the novel of the same name, Japan Sink: 2020, which is written by Sakyo Komatsu and has been published many years ago in 1973.
