Apple has released firmware version 4A400 for the second-generation AirPods, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max on Tuesday. This update was announced back at Worldwide Developer Conference earlier this year. This update enables a conversation to boost feature that makes it easier to find Airpods pro and Airpods Max by using the Find My app.
The Find My app works by taking advantage of Bluetooth on millions of Apple devices. So that, it reports that location in the Find My app, if any Apple device is detected nearby. This update allows owners to mark AirPods Pro and Max as missing via Lost Mode. But, unfortunately, this feature does not work on regular Airpods.
Apple has included the Conversation Boost feature as a Custom Transparency Mode in its headphone services. The beam microphones in AirPods Pro try to separate the voices over any background and other conversations when the above feature is enabled. Moreover, there is also access to options to modify amplification, transparency, and the tone of what you want to hear.
How to enable Conversion Boost?
To turn on Conversation Boost, the AirPods Pro must be updated to firmware version 4A400, however, we let you know that there is no manual way to force an update. In general, an iPhone or iPad should automatically update AirPods Pro to the latest firmware version after a fairly short period of time.
Here are the following steps for checking your AirPods Pro firmware:
- Connect your AirPods Pro to your iOS device.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on General.
- then tap on the About section.
- click on AirPods.
- Look at the number next to the version of Firmware.
Once the Airpod is updated to the latest version of Firmware, Conversation Boost can be turned on any of Apple devices like iPhone or iPad running on iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 by following a few more steps given below:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Accessibility.
- Tap on Audio/Visual.
- Tap on Headphone Accommodations.
- Scroll down and tap on Transparency Mode.
- Toggle on Conversation Boost.
Apple has added the latest accessibility feature Conversation Boost to its devices last year. However, back in May, the company has revealed a list of new updates such as the ability for the Apple Watch to accept muscle movements as an input method and support for third-party eye-tracking devices on the iPad. Moreover, recently Apple has launched the iPhone 13 series in prices similar to the prices of the iPhone 12 series with stunning features, which are being rolled in the market. One should have a look at Apple’s official website to know about the prices for Airpods, iPhones, and other Apple devices.
