My Eyes Only is a new feature that the Snapchat app has introduced to keep your photos and video safer. This feature My Eyes Only is for the snap that the user wants to keep private and safe. The photos that the user takes using My Eyes Only can be seen only by the user, not even Snapchat can not get to see those snaps. Those snaps are protected using a password that the user prefers and each time the user has to put the password to access those photos. If the user forgets the password then the Snapchat team cannot help. And if you reset the password then you will lose all the snaps saved in My Eyes Only.
How to set the My Eyes Only feature?
- Swipe up from the Camera Screen to open Memories
- Press and hold on a Snap and tap “My Eyes Only”
- Tap “Quick Setup”
- Create a passcode
This will be your new passcode and is the only way to access this app! If you don’t want to use a 4-digit passcode, you can instead set a passphrase of letters and numbers – tap “Use Passphrase” at the bottom.
- Read the information, and if you agree, tap the circle icon and tap “Continue”
- Tap “Finish”
How to save other snaps My Eyes Only?
- Swipe up from the Camera screen to open Memories
- Tap The multi-select button at the top
- Then Tap the Snaps and Stories you want to move to My Eyes Only
- Tap “Lock symbol” at the bottom and tap “Move” (You may be prompted to enter your passcode.)
How to change your password?
- Swipe left in Memories until you see the “My Eyes Only” tab
- Tap “Options” at the bottom
- Tap “Change Passcode”
- Enter your current My Eyes Only passcode
- Enter the new passcode you’d like to use and tap “Next”
- If you don’t want to use a 4-digit passcode, you can instead set a passphrase of letters and numbers – tap “Use Passphrase” at the bottom.
- Read the information, and if you agree, tap the circle icon and tap “Continue”
- Tap “Finish”
How to reset your password?
- Swipe left in Memories to the “My Eyes Only” tab
- Tap “Options” at the bottom
- Tap “Forgot Passcode”
- Enter your Snapchat account password and tap “Next”
- Please note: your Snapchat account password is different from this software passcode
- Read the information, and if you agree, tap the circle icon and tap “Continue”
- Create and confirm your new passcode.
