Mirzapur is Back With a Vengeance for Season 2!

The long-awaited season 2 of Mirzapur will finally grace our screens next month, ending a two-year wait. Amazon Prime announced the date of release earlier in August this year.

Mirzapur is Amazon Prime’s third Indian Original. It is a crime-drama and has inspired heavily by the Gangs of Wasseypur movies.

The story follows two brothers, Bablu and Guddu. They are recruited by the gangster Tripathi as his henchmen. Conflict arises when the brothers must choose between working their powerful and dangerous boss or to protect their family, the members of which are being continually harassed by Tripathi’s son.

The first season’s ending has unexpected, to say the least, and fans have been waiting eagerly for season 2 ever since. Let’s get into the details without any further ado.

Mirzapur Season 2 Release Date

Amazon has set the release date for season 2 of Mirzapur to be on October 23, 2020, which is just a few weeks away. The two-year wait will finally come to an end.

Mirzapur Season 2 Plot

Season 1 ended in the most dramatic way possible, with the show killing off a bunch of characters we all assumed would stick around longer. Munna, in an attempt to prove his worth to his father, tracks Guddu and Bablu to a wedding they were attending and kills Bablu and Guddu’s wife Sweety in cold blood. Guddu and the rest manage to escape with help from Sweety’s sister Golu, and that is when the season concludes.

Meanwhile, Tripathi is himself taking care of his own business as he kills the police inspector. Sharad plans to avenge his father’s death at the hands of Guddu.

Season 2 looks like it will be all about payback, and the repercussions of Munna’s actions in the finale. Guddu will most likely be hell-bent on killing Munna, while Sharad will be after Guddu for killing his father. Tripathi on the other hand will focus on keeping his empire intact and try his best to protect his son Munna.
