About Mirzapur
Mirzapur is an action crime thriller web series on Amazon Prime Video. The show is set in Mirzapur, a city in Uttar Pradesh with a criminal history. It depicts the culture of drug chain, illegal guns and mafia rule in small towns of Uttar Pradesh. The show revolves around these issues in Mirzapur, in the reign of Akhandanand Tripathi, the mafia don. Akhanda Runs a rug business to overcoat his illegal actions. Hence, he gets the name ‘Kaleen Bhaiya’. Following an incident involving Munna, Akhanda’s spoiled son, it results in him to cross paths with an honest lawyer, Ramakant Pandit.

In order to avoid any legal consequences, Akhanda involves Ramakant’s sons- Guddu and Bablu in his illegal “enterprise” and makes them his errand boys. They take the opportunity to protect their family from the mafia. But after some time, they find themselves indulged in the race to become the supreme power of the city. Consequently, this game of greed and power turns messy. At the end of the first season, Munna ends up murdering Guddu’s family in a wedding, leaving him injured and helpless.
Meanwhile, Akhanda’s old nemesis Rati Shankar resurfaces to overpower his reign. However, he is killed by Guddu who fires a bullet on his head. Consequently, Rati Shankar’s son Sharad plans to seek revenge for his father’s death.
