Minion 2 delayed due to pandemic !

Minions: The Rise of Gru or Minion 2 is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated comedy film which is produced by Illumination. This is a sequel to Minions of 2015 and spin-off a sequel to the main Despicable Me film series. The film will be directed by Kyle Balda and Brad Ableton and Jonathan del Val as co-directors. The story is written by Brian Lynch.

Brief Details About Minion 2 –

There are reports which suggest The minion 2 release date has been pushed back for a year due to the global pandemic. As per the official announcements, part 2 will release in July 2021.  Illumination animation had to close its studio due to the current situation which made it impossible for July 2020 release. Illumination founder said in a statement “In response to the severity of the situation in France, we are temporarily closing our Illumination Mac Guff studio in Paris”.

As per sources the director, Kyle Balda has moved from America to Paris to be with the studio. This confirms that he is on board for sure. But it seems that Coffin who voiced the characters might not be there in part 2 as per sources.

The film will pick up from where it left last time. At the end of the Million, the audience saw the group finding their new master to follow in God.  In this, he is still a kid and wishes to be a part of his favourite supervillain group- Vicious 6. The director in an interview shared that they have the script ready.

The group finds their leader, Gru takes this as an opportunity to raise his dreams. But he gets rejected and now he has to prove his worth. Gru and his minions take Wild Knuckle’s help. The audience knows what Gru grows up to be. His destiny will be cemented by this episode.
