Social distancing and the use of masks is mandatory for the customers visiting the Michaels store in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Michaels Launches Same-Day Delivery and Curbside Pickup
The spokesperson of Michaels has stated that the stores have introduced curbside pickups for the customers, as many people will consider it safer to come inside due to the pandemic. Michaels’ CEO has ordered the company to stay open as it is an essential business, which is required for the functioning of other small private businesses.
The spokesperson further adds:
“New service programs such as curbside pickup and same-day delivery would have taken three to four-plus months pre-COVID-19. Michaels has created agile work teams that quickly test MVP (Minimally Viable Product) solutions and then iterate improvements quickly. Michaels developed these teams so we can be responsive to our Makers’ needs in as ‘real-time as possible.’”
The curbside pickup is available until 6 p.m. in the evening. After this time, the customers can pick up their online orders from the store itself.
Michaels produces ten exclusive private brands including Recollections, Studio Decor, Bead Landing, Creatology, Ashland, Celebrate It, Art Minds, Artist’s Loft, Craft Smart, and Loops & Threads.
The store Michaels was established in 1973 in Dallas, by a Dallas businessman named Michael J. Dupey. The products that Michaels supplies are Art products, Bakeware, Beads, Craft Painting, Floral, Framing, General Crafts, Home Decor, Kids/Teachers, Scrapbooking, Wedding, and Yarn and Needle Crafts.
