MCU Spider-Man 3 release date to delay, could be after Venom 2

The sequel of Venom 2018, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is the latest victim of COVID-19 release delays. As a result, the MCU’s Spider-Man 3 is heard to be pushed back as well.

Unluckily due to lethal diffuse of this communicable disease, the entire world is suffering an economic slowdown, and the studios were also left with no other choice but to put most of their movies at a halt.

Recently, blockbusters of DCEU have wisely stopped its production for a while, and so have the Marvel Studios with shuffling almost whole of its Phase 4 lineup.

Sony Movies have also pushed back many of their movies to 2021. Sony has recently announced to postpone its highly anticipated sequel of Venom along with revealing the new title, which is Venom: Let There Be Carnage, it will be released on June 25, 2021. Now, initially, on this date, The Batman, too, was supposed to release. But due to COVID 19, The Batman itself has been moved to October 2021. Although it is nice that the sequel of Venom has a new slate now, Spider-Man 3 poses a dilemma.

Release date of MCU Spider-Man 3

There is no confirmation regarding the delay in the release date of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3. It is still expected to release on July 16, 2021.
This date is more likely to be only within the three weeks between it and the Venom sequel. Studios are losing a lot of money as it is, so all are expecting Sony to make up for lost time where they can. It would difficult for the box office to handle this competitive situation between both the movies.
