Making A Murderer season 3: Storyline!
The documentary is about Brendan Dassey and Steven Avery. Upon false arrest, Steven Avery was sent to jail. He was in prison on charges of sexual assault and attempted murder of Penny Beerntsen for 18 years. These allegations, however, were false. In 2005, Avery was again a free man.
The first season primarily chronicles the time from 1985 to 2007, depicting the arrest and conviction of Avery in 1985, his eventual exoneration and release in 2003, the federal case brought by Avery against Manitowoc County, his arrest in 2005, and his subsequent trial and indictment in 2007.
The second season examines the consequences of the arrests of both Avery’s and Dassey, concentrating on the families of Avery’s and Dassey’s, the investigation and conclusions of Avery’s new counsel Kathleen Zellner, which corroborates Avery’s theory of innocence and framing him for Halbach’s murder, and Dassey’s defence team’s attempts to prove in court that investigators coerced his statement.
