The popular American actress Charlize Theron is making the headlines again for her role Furiosa which was played in Mad Max: Fury Road. At that time, Charlize made her fans fall in love with her Furiosa character and gained immense love from the viewers. But, now there are rumors which suggest that Charlize Theron is not reprising her beloved role ‘Furiosa’ in Mad Max 5, which will be directed by George Miller.
According to the reports which suggest, the filmmaker of Mad Max, George Miller disclosed that he is ready to add next film in Mad Max universe, that will be based on the character of Furiosa which was played by Charlize Theron in the apocalyptic action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). But, George also confirmed that he and his upcoming film Mad Max 5 with the co-writer Nick Lathouris are currently working on the Furiosa prequel. But, it will not add our beloved actress Charlize Theron in the role of Furiosa.
George Miller revealed his upcoming project during an interaction with The New York Times and also disclosed that it would be a real story. It is also rumored that the famous director George Miller is also looking for a young and charming actress for Furiosa’s role in the upcoming project.
Apart from this, George also revealed the reason behind the project why he is not featuring Theron in Mad Max 5. Miller mentioned that while working on the project, he did consider doing the film with Theron, by using de-aging technology to make her look young, but eventually decided against it.
Miller stated that he contemplated the film with Theron when working on the project, and he used the hi-tech de-aging techniques to make it appear young, but eventually decided not to. Mad Max 5 Director George Miller also disclosed that “For the longest time, I thought we could just use CG de-aging on Charlize, but I don’t think we’re nearly there yet. Despite the valiant attempts on ‘The Irishman,’ I think there’s still an uncanny valley. Everyone is on the verge of solving it, particularly Japanese video-game designers, but there’s still a pretty wide valley, I believe”.
In the 2015 film, we got to see war captain under the leader Immortan Joe, and it featured Theron as Furiosa. Theron turns Against the leader and forms an alliance with Max Rockatansky. After finishing the action-adventure shoot of Three Thousand Years of Longing, George will start with the movie Mad Max. The film is a fantasy romance, and it will feature Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton.
