Lucifer Season 5 – What To Expect Next?
It’s a question that has been haunting many Lucifer fans – will their favourite show return on-screen with a fifth season? It appears that the Tom Kapinos’ TV adaption of the DC comics is finally expected to return on the small screen. One would expect that the fans would eventually receive this news with a lot of enthusiasm. However, it appears that the news has been received with mixed emotions. According to a report by Digital Spy, the fans are also told that the fifth season will actually be the final chapter. Therefore, the fans are not really looking forward to it as they are already aware that there won’t be any further renewals following the last season.
In a recent interview, Lucifer’s showrunners, Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich were quoted as stating, “We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come.”
The Future Of Lucifer Season 6 Is Uncertain
These are surely words of encouragement for the fans. While they are aware that they have something quite spectacular to watch as the time passes by the fifth season finally premieres on the online-streaming platform, we are also aware that the fifth season would be the last one. The fans were quite distraught by the thought of it and thus, was evident through their tweets. In response to the distraught fans, the creators further went on to tweet, “While we feel just as sad as many of you do that this marvellous ride is coming to an end, a fight won’t change things right now.”
It seems like the creators have had a conversation with their partners, Netflix and Warner Bros during this process. They also acknowledged the tremendous care and consideration that has been put into the making of the show. They further added in the tweet, “In fact, the whole reason they decided to announce that it was our fifth and final season simultaneously is because they know how devoted and passionate our fans (and we!) are and wanted to give y’all (and us!) as much time as they could to accept and process the news. And for that we’re incredibly grateful.”
