The long wait for the next season of Lost in Space is over as season 3 will be released in 2021. The announcement was made on March 10th. However, the release date has not been mentioned. Production has been scheduled between September 9th and January 14th, but due to the pandemic going on, we can never be sure. The team has also confirmed this will be the last season of the show.

The series is created by Irwin Allen and developed by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. The original language of the series is English, and the country of origin is the United States. It has released two seasons with 20 episodes.
Plot
The story revolves around the Robinson family, who is trying to migrate to a new solar system called Alpha Centauri as life on earth is threatened by a massive impact, which led to the rise of harmful dust. The Robinson family is among the selected families to be migrated away to the Alpha Centauri to establish a new home for humans.
However, things go wrong when their space station is attacked by an alien robot and changes its course, which caused the family to camp on a nearby planet. As the series continues, the family is faced with many challenges which they overcome. The season ends by showing the Robinsons and Dr. Smith trapped light years away from the others without a robot to protect them.
Season 2 ends in a cliff-hanger, with the children being lost in space once again. The fans with an insatiable hunger to know what’s going to happen in the next season might be disappointed to learn that this will be the last season of the series.
