The fans are desperate to know what has happened to the unlucky Robinson Family.
The second season of Lost In Space released a year and half ago. Since then, the fans have been eager to find out what is the ultimate fate waiting for the Robinson family. The series – which is based on a famous 1960’s science-fiction series – features the lives of Johann David Wyss’ The Swiss Family Robinson. The first two seasons have primarily followed the lives of the Robinson family, who are exploring space. The Robinson family, as we are shown in the first two seasons, are the ones selected to travel to the human race’s new home, the Alpha Centauri. However, their path is riddled with challenges as they face several robot attacks and other obstructions such as fuel shortages and a list of endless unfortunate events.
The series features some of the best acting talent of the entertainment industry including Molly Parker, Toby Stephens and Parker Posey. The last season, i.e. the second season, released towards the end of 2019, i.e. during Christmas. However, it ended up on a very uncompleted note. It was during that time that we were sure that the series will be returning for a third season as well.
Lost In Space Season 3 Release Date
While we are certain that the third season of Lost In Space will be releasing, what we are uncertain about is its release date. The series is expected to hit our screens in 2021. Furthermore, with the announcement that a third season is indeed, on its way this year, it unfortunately will be the finale season for the series. Netflix’s tweet reads, “More #LostInSpace is coming. The creators of the show have always looked at the series as best completed in three parts. In fact, showrunner Zack Estrin also made a recent comment about the same. He stated, “A three-part epic family adventure with a clear beginning, middle and end. It’s also worth noting that, with what these characters go through just trying to survive each episode — if anyone deserves to catch their breath before their next mission — it’s Will, Penny, Judy, Maureen, John, Don West, Dr. Smith… and The Robot. And, of course, Debbie the Chicken.”
Lost In Space Season 3 Plot Line
Towards the end of the second season, we were able to witness how the Robinson family ultimately splits up after being attacked by a bunch of robots. It is only Judy, who is the last one standing in the second spaceship, therefore, ending up being the captain of the ship named Jupiter 2. She is expected to fly the ship off along with the group of children back to safety which is the Alpha Centauri. At the same time, Robinson’s parents end up fighting the robots with the help of Scarecrow, the savior robot that they have built for their own protection. Of course, we are expecting the creators to pick the show up where they left off.
