The second season of Netflix’s Locke and Key is expected to explore more of the superhero that TV has to offer.
Netflix has reportedly given the green signal for the second season of their superhero original, Locke And Key. The superhero series consists of numerous themes, including fantasy as well as horror. The plotline of the series revolves around the lives of three siblings who decide to move into a house together. They are not aware but gradually they understand that the house that they have moved into is actually filled a lot of dark secrets, magic as well as some treasure which is well hidden from plain sight.
Will Locke And Key Actually Be Renewed?
It was back on March 30, 2020 that the production team confirmed that a second instalment of the superhero series is currently in development. The renewed season consists of key characters and more demons that are prepared to make life hell for the main characters of the series.
Where is the production taking place?
If the reports are believed to be true, the creators of the show are focusing all their production schedules around Toronto, Canada. It doesn’t seem like the team is planning on experimenting too much, especially with the current Coronavirus situation. There are two showrunners this time with Meredith Averill and Carlton Cuse. These two characters are playing a major role in the second season of the show.
In a recent interview with Gamespot, the creators were reported as saying that the writers have been working on the second instalment of the series. However, if there are any chances that the series might not be picked up by Netflix, they are ready for that scenario as well. They do not have a hard and fast rule of following through with the second season. For those who are not aware, Connor Jessup plays the role of Tyler Locke. He was also reported as expressing that he is expecting the second season to enter development too.
What to expect in Locke and Key season 2
Fans of the first season will remember what an adventure the show promises to be. For those who haven’t seen the first season, might as well stop reading here because there are a lot of spoilers ahead. The first season clearly concludes on a major cliff-hanger. Even the viewers were quite certain that there is enough room for a second season, by the end of the series. The final few episodes, we were introduced to a series of circumstances that were gradually moving towards the seaside town and the dark skies were closing enough from a distance.
The series also further ends at a point wherein the siblings are about to enter one of the most dangerous doors that has come to establishment. Evil still seems to be lurking all throughout and Dodge appears to be the kind of individual that will eventually meet the death. The upcoming series is expected to concentrate on where the first season ended.
