Due to the lethal spread of coronavirus outbreak, Nickelodeon’s annual awards show 2020 was one of the first major events that postponed. However, on 2nd May, the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together event was held virtually. On this occasion, many renowned Hollywood actors, singers, and other special guests were gathered up to celebrate this major event with a virtual presence amid lockdown.
Victoria Justice hosted this epic virtual event “Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together”, while the segments featuring JoJo Siwa and Asher Angel were broadcasted.
Many eminent people of Hollywood film industry including Dwayne Johnson, Camila Cabello, Ellen DeGeneres, Kristen Bell, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Josh Gad, Lil Nas X, BTS, Dove Cameron, Millie Bobby Brown, Tom Holland, Bill Fagerbakke, David Dobrik, Tom Kenny, and SSSniperWolf were seen there and attended this digital event.
Besides this, the most successful American superhero film “The Avengers: Endgame’s star cast including Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner were also present in this major event.
The NBA champion LeBron James gained the Nickelodeon’s 2020 Generation Change Award for his contribution to driving change through education, through The LeBron James Family Foundation and his I PROMISE School also won the favorite male sports star award.
Shawn Mendes received the favorite male artist award with his favorite music collaboration award for “Señorita” with his girlfriend Camila Cabello that is their No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
Nickelodeon also gave $1 million for the children who are suffering from the pandemic.
There were video messages shared by the winners of the ‘Kids Choice Awards 2020, including Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, BTS, and Ariana Grande. They expressed gratitude to their fans from home amidst this coronavirus outbreak.
