Katy Perry’s song Smile is out with a story

The renowned singer Katy Perry recently treated her fans with her uplifting new song titled Smile. It is the title track from her upcoming fifth album with the same title Smile, which will release on Aug 14 through Capitol. According to the Roar singer’s recent post, the new title track was written by her during the most darkest periods of her life. Thus clearly states that how strong she is.
Over an upbeat, dance-driven groove to match the positive vibes of the lyrics, soon-to-be-mother Katy Perry praises the virtue of perseverance after suffering setbacks in the song.
The American Idol judge also sings that “every day feels like Groundhog Day and going through motions felt so fake.” She continues, “Ultimately, all the rejection and hard-won lessons pay off, now you see me shining from a mile/Finally got back that smile,” Perry sings on the chorus.
The California Girls singer Katy Perry shared the new track on her Instagram account and captioned that “I wrote the title track from the album when I was coming through one of the darkest periods of my life and had lost my smile,”. And then she continued that “This whole album is my journey towards the light—with stories of resilience, hope, and love,”.
Perry’s fifth album was released in May. The tracks preceded the release of “Never Worn White” earlier this year, a song that described her anxieties about marriage and wrapped up with a video showing she expected her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom.
After the release of 2017’s Witness, our beloved singer Katy has released several new songs, which include Small Talk, Never Really Over, Harleys in Hawaii and 365.
Our creative singer posted the cover of her album in which we see her wearing a checked suit and nose of a Clown. Her sixth album Smile is what we all ate actually waiting for. Songs like ‘What makes a woman’ and ‘Teary eyes’ will capture many hearts no sooner the album releases in August.
