Jack Ryan is an American political action thriller series. It is created by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland. The first season of Jack Ryan premiered on Amazon Prime in August 2018.
The show is based on the characters from “Ryanverse”, a fiction by Tom Clancy. The role of Jack is played by John Krasinki, who is also the executive producer of the show.
Jack is a CIA Analyst who discovers suspicious bank transfer activities. His investigation pulls him out from his desk job to the field. Subsequently, he finds out that the activities are being carried out by a rising Islamic terrorist head called Suleiman. Apparently, Suleiman has been planning a massive attack against the US and its allies.
The second season follows Jack, who is in the middle of a political warfare in Venezuela. Due to the economic crisis in Venezuela, it led to mass migration. As a result, Jack finds himself in a cat and mouse game throughout Europe and the Middle East.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has received positive reviews from the audience as well as the critiques. Moreover, the show has been nominated for Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards 2020, in the category of Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role.
