Rick and Morty 6th season is already in the act, co-creator Dan Harmon said exclusively during the weekend at Adult Swim Con. The animated science-fiction sitcom ended its season 4 two months ago, but Dan and Co. are two seasons onward.
Currently, production is initiated on season 5, in terms of animation, performance, and voice acting, while the writers — including Dan are working out for season 6 over Zoom video calls, with slight interruptions notwithstanding the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Dan noted that the manner has changed a bit thanks to these zoom video calls.
Did Dan slip the Major Secret?
Over on Instagram, Dan let the secret slide out while addressing the Community virtual read through. In the caption of his post, he wrote – Alex Rubens is back to address on Rick and Morty 6th season and will be coming back as bright as ever.
One more magical thing about today: the script we are reading, Cooperative Polygraphy, is by Community and Rick and Morty alum Alex Rubens, who is BACK at RaM writing on the 6th part – the caption states.
That end bit goes in with what Dan said in July: “I believe it is okay to say without fear of being wrong that the break between seasons 3 and season 4 will be a most distant and previous time that it is ever so long that it is quite ridiculous. IDK how fast we will be doing it, but I know it will never be this long. Not to get fans hopes up, but it is structured into our deal that if we go strong and quick there are chances to issue more episodes at a time.”
Currently, Dan’s message appears to be the first notice that fans have seen about the sixth season as season 4 is however being aired. The back half of the season is displaying weekly on Adult Swim as fans & viewers continue coming back to the lively comedy.
Lately, the opening details of Rick and Morty’s 5th season surfaced when actor Chris Parnell acknowledged writing and storyboards for its episodes are undertaken; nonetheless, there are no recordings for the 5th season at this time.
That means – Rick and Morty are getting the jump on the 6th part, and fans are excited to see what the smash comedy has in its store.
