The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi is about to come up with a new attractive smartphone soon in the market. As at Chinese certification websiteTENAA, a handset from the company has been spotted with the model number 2015212 which is alleged to be a new variant of Mi Note 2.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone made its debut in October last year. The phone was launched in two variants – one with 4GB RAM and another one with 6GB RAM. Earlier to the launch, both smartphones were certified at TENAA with model numbers 2015211 and 2015213 respectively, hence the phone with the model number 2015212 is alleged to be a new variant of Mi Note 2.

However, this time the listing doesn’t show any image of the smartphone, so it can’t be confirmed said that the alleged handset is a variant of Mi Note 2 or might be a new model. As per the listing, the device will be launched with a normal 5.7-inch OLED display panel instead of the flexible-type panel in order to boost manufacturing. The display will be curved around the edges making it a 77.2 percent of the screen to body ratio.

The new Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone will be powered by a 2.35GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and Adreno 530 GPU. While the handset will come with the above-mentioned RAM-Storage combo. TENAA also confirms that the device 156.2×77.2×7.6 mm as per the listing.

The upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi sports a 22.56-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and EIS with its own 3-axis gyroscope for 4K video stabilisation. Meanwhile, the company has fitted an 8-megapixel of front shooter with f/2.0 aperture with features like group selfie and Auto Beautify 3.0. All these specs are in line with the existing Mi Note 2.

A 4070mAh battery fuels the smartphone which comes featured with Quick Charge 3.0. As far the connectivity is concerned, the new flagship from Xiaomi will offer LTE speeds of up to 6000 Mbps, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC for Mi Pay etc. It also houses Aquatic audio processor for enhanced audio quality both from the speakers and headphones.
