Unreleased Google Pixel 3 XL is reportedly being sold in 'black market' at $2,000

A Ukrainian seller might be selling the unannounced and unreleased Google Pixel 3 XL in the black market for as high as $2,000 a unit. This was brought to light during this period when Pixel 3 XL is getting a lot of reviews due to preposterous and unstoppable leaks coming from a specific seller.

According to 9to5Google, a Ukrainian seller posted videos of retail box for Pixel 3 XL followed by a slew of other reveals. He is a blogger who goes by the name Luckkou who works for a firm called Wylsacom Media according to his Telegram bio. He posted about the Pixel 3 XL and if anybody wants to buy it before it is officially released this October.

Per those who actually contacted Luckkou via his Telegram account were directed to another Telegram account where they were briefed about the units of Pixel 3 XL 64GB available at a price tag of $2,000 which is more than double the actual price that Google could quote on Pixel 3 XL. At first, there was no information available for its shipment, however, when a buyer communicated with another Telegram account that we are talking about, information regarding how the shipment will be sent to London via FedEx or DHL were shared.

The seller refused to comment on how many units he has but there is a rough estimation that the seller was ready to sell ten units to a single buyer which hints that there are way more units at his disposal which are being sold in the black market.

Both Google and Foxconn (the production facility based in China) have started investigating how did the units reached the seller and how many units are missing. Note that the seller stated that many of the leaks that happen much recently were the products that he sold to people including Youtubers, etc. As of now, we know that Google Pixel 3 XL is still more than a month away from its supposedly launch in October. This indicates that we could potentially see a hoard of leaks further and it would be surprising how Google lives up to the expectation of the people even after everything related to the upcoming Pixel smartphones have been discussed already.
