LG V40 ThinQ with five cameras might be released on November 16

Gone are the days when ‘megapixels’ were used to determine if the camera is good enough or not but today, megapixels are just one aspect of many such as EIS, OIS, image recognition, zoom lenses, telephoto or wide-angle lenses and much more where the preference is given towards quality than quantity, however, LG is doing something different here. It is currently working on a one-of-a-kind smartphone with a quintuple camera system that will outrun Huawei’s quadruple camera setup in its state-of-the-art Huawei P20 Pro.

LG has earlier announced the 2018 iteration of its V series of smartphones where it will reprise the lineup with LG V40 ThinQ. The smartphone sports five camera sensors mounted on its chassis i.e. two at the front and three at the back.

According to the photos released by MySmartPrice in what we assume as a press release, the LG V40 ThinQ looks stunning with a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio that goes in-line with the previous claims made on this particular model. It has a notch at the top which is hidden using the Android OS’s feature that matches the color of the notch to the area on the screen thereby creating an effect of ‘no notch’ display. This makes it difficult to gauge the bezel on the top while the side bezel seems tiny but it does have a little chin at the bottom.

The front display has a dual-camera setup placed on its notch with speakers. Per BGR, one of the sensors must be depth-sensing so that LG can follow the steps of the facial recognition system introduced by iPhone X using Apple’s FaceID.

Further, the back has a triple camera setup arranged side-by-side in a horizontal bar with a LED flash. The fingerprint scanner is placed right below the camera followed by ‘V40’ logo and finally, the ‘LG’ logo is embossed at the bottom of the back panel. Apparently, LG could decide to release the upcoming LG V40 ThinQ sometime in November although there is a specific date that could potentially turn out as its launch date which is November 16. So, sit back and relax until LG launches its LG V40 ThinQ with five cameras.
