Google lists Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 on Play Store India

Indian gadget lovers would be glad to hear this exciting news about the launch of next generation of Nexus line of devices. Google Nexus 6 is now listed at Google Play Store. The smartphone is tagged at a price of Rs. 44,000 for 32 GB and Rs. 49,000 for 64 GB variant.

The Motorola Nexus 6 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop supported by Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is fueled with a 3220 mAh battery that is claimed to stay juiced up for 24 hours of backup, and the dimensions are 159.2 x 82.3 x 10mm. For the selfie addicts, the company provides 2 MP of front-facing camera and a 13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels, autofocus primary camera featuring with 5.96 inch 1440 x 2560 AMOLED display.

However, the devices are not available for sale as the company has not disclosed the dates.

Moreover, in next few weeks, the tech giant also going to launch its Nexus 9 tablet at a price of Rs. 28,900 onwards. It also runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop powered by Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset with a dual-core 2.3 GHz processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It also features with an 8.9 inch IPS, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display and 8 MP primary and 1.6 MP front-facing camera. The device was developed by HTC, unveiled globally along with Nexus 6 by US-based Motorola, last month. Motorola was previously a Google company and is now owned by Lenovo.

In Addition to it, 44 million devices were sold last year, which makes India be the fastest growing smartphone market in the world, according to IDC. Already, Google has launched its budget devices, Android One smartphones in partnership with handset makers Spice, Micromax and Karbonn.

Before this festive season, rumors stated that the Nexus 6 will be launched in India at a price around Rs. 36,000.
