Actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar passes away


Actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, who has blessed many Bollywood movies by his brilliant acting, died early morning this Monday at the age of 64 after he was hospitalized at the Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani after enduring from Lung infection from a long time. He passed away peacefully at 2:45 am, his daughter said.  As the news flooded in Bollywood, many actors showed their condolence to the actor’s death.

At Bhaidas Auditorium, the body of Amrapurkar will be kept on Monday to make people enable to pay their last tribute to this Veteran actor.

Veteran actor’s last rituals will be performed at his soul place in Ahmednagar district tomorrow as stated by his family members to our reporters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bollywood brotherhood showed their condolence by posting tweets on for the death of Amrapurkar.

”We will remember Sadashiv Amrapurkar as a versatile actor, popular across generations. RIP. My deepest condolences to his family,” Modi tweeted.

”Waking up in Kolkata to the sad news of the passing away of Sadashiv Amrapurkar.. A colleague and a gifted talent.. Prayers! When a colleague suddenly passes away there is a sudden vacuum, of times spent together, of acknowledgement of their work..,” Amitabh posted on Twitter.

Amrapurkar began his film career in 1974, at the age of 24. He capitalized himself as an actor from the film ‘Hukumat’ which had polished his image as a villain in Hindi cinema. Since then, he delivered a number of hits.

He had blessed Indian cinema by his many iconic roles, including the role of remorseless eunuch in ‘Sadak’, an antagonist in ‘Ardh Satya’ and a heartless father in ‘Ishq’ with his flawless acting. His debut film in Hindi cinema was Ardh Satya in 1983.

His flawless working can be seen in his other works including “Aankhen”, “Ishq”, “Coolie No. 1” and “Gupt: The Hidden Truth”.

His last acting in Hindi cinema was in 2012 in film ‘Bombay Talkies’ after which he had become selective and was more seen as a socialist in the past few years.
