The much awaited wearable device from Motorola; Moto 360 has finally launched in India. The smartwatch is exclusively available on Flipkart at a price of Rs. 17,999 from October 3.
The company unveiled Moto 360 along with the second-generation Moto G and Moto X smartphones, ₹earlier this month in India. According to Motorola, initially the devices will be available with a limited amount of stocks on Flipkart, and more stocks will be available within upcoming two weeks.
The smartwatch features a classic round design and boasts “voice control” which enables users to send text messages, set reminders, check weather, and ask for directions, just by saying, “OK Google”. Also, Moto Voice has been updated to bring the features found in Moto X (2014). Users can measure their heart rate and also can keep track of their steps. The device has a battery of 320 mAh that can support a whole day power backup to the watch, it also features wireless (rumoured before) charging and it weighs 49 gram only.
Talking about technical specifications Moto 360 is featured with a Backlit LCD with a display resolution of 320 x 290 pixel and 205 ppi, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartwatch is powered by the TI OMAP 3 processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage that allows users to store music and photos. The device is water resistance and IP67 certified, which means, device can resist up to 1 meter of fresh water for about 30 minutes.
Moto 360 will work with almost every android device running Android 4.3 or higher, the company claims. The device compatibility could be checked here or visit g.co/WearCheckfrom on your phone to see if it is compatible with Android Wear or not.
In addition to it, Moto 360 is the most expensive smartwatch in India agaisnt LG G Watch, priced at Rs. 14,999 and Samsung Gear Live Gear Live, which carries a price tag of Rs. 15,999.
