Impractical Jokers renewed for season 9?

Impractical Jokers is an American hidden camera reality series with improvisational elements. NorthSouth Production produced the series. Premiered in December 2011 at truTV. The series is liked by the audience and received a critical claim. Till now the audience has seen the 8th seasons of the series. As per reports, the series is renewed for the 9th season.

Brief Details About Impractical Jokers Season 9 –

Trutv has not confirmed the exact date of release for season 9.  The initial expectation was that it would release in 2020. As per the recent updates, the production is delayed due to the pandemic crisis.

During the production shutdown, the creators launched an Impractical Jokers spinoff the remotely filmed Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party. The first 6 episodes premiered on May 21. It features Tenderloins leaving away from each other during the global shutdown. Details about their daily lives are shared during the shutdown. Another 10 episodes are planned for the Dinner Party.

Not many details are available related to the cast of season 9. The audience can expect to see all four members of The Tenderloins comedy troupe in season 9. For more details, the audience will have to wait for official announcements.

“We’re excited to continue growing the Impractical Jokers franchise with WarnerMedia,” the producer shared in an interview. He also shared that he is excited to use the world franchise. Each new season they are working hard to make it bigger. He also thanked the audience for liking the series.

Brief Background Of Impractical Jokers –

In an episode, competitive games of dare are there. Each joker receives either thumbs up or thumbs down for performance. In the end, the joker who gets most of the thumbs down is the looser and gets a punishment. In the game, one joker is challenged to embarrass himself. He does this by engaging with unwitting members of the general public. He receives a command for other jokers and they are orchestrating and surveying the bizarre scenario from behind the scenes with covert recording equipment.
