How true is it, a superhero film Ball and Chain starring The Rock and Emily Blunt?

Renowned American-Canadian actor Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt are reportedly going to reunite for the superhero film Ball And Chain, which is inspired by Scott Lobdell’s 90s comic book series of the same title. The plot of this superhero movie is all about a struggling married couple who fights to protect the world and their relationship.

In the book, it was portrayed that the superpowers of the couple only work when they set down their disagreements and fight as a team together. The four-part comic book has been published in the year 1999. According to the report, Disney’s The Jungle Cruise co-stars Dwayne’ The Rock’ Johnson and Emily Blunt are going to play the role of husband and wife in the upcoming superhero film as Edgar and Mallory Bulson.

It is assumed that this upcoming superhero film will be similar to Mr. and Mrs. Smith starred by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, but a superhero twist will be added to this movie.
According to the official description of the comic book reads, “Edgar and Mallory Bulson have decided to throw in the towel. That was the plan anyway until a mysterious meteor bathed the battling couple in extraterrestrial energies that gave them super-powers. Will their newfound abilities be enough to make their marriage work?”

The Big Sick writer Emily V. Gordon will be the scriptwriter of this upcoming superhero film Ball And Chain, adding Kevin Misher, who will helm this film under the banner of Seven Bucks Productions. However, the details of the film have not been disclosed yet by the film-makers.

There are many who have pre-assumed that Dwayne and Emily’s film will get the stream on Netflix for sure, but yet again, there is no confirmation to it. It is not the first time when Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt are teaming up together for the onscreen project; the famous duo will also lead Disney’s adventure film Jungle Cruise, and due to the coronavirus pandemic the date has been postponed to July 2021. Jungle Cruise, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, was first expected to be out on July 24, 2020.

We will also get to see our former favorite wrestler Dwayne Johnson featuring in various interesting projects like DC’s film Black Adam and Netflix’s action-comedy Red Notice, which will also feature Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds.
