Juice Wrld is the world famous singer, rapper and a songwriter. Similar to his name, he had taken over the world when he was alive. Sadly, Juice Wrld left the world way too early. However, he has left his mark behind. He earned his recognition, name and fame at a very young age. On the other hand, we lost him at a very young age as well. Early life of Juice Wrld

Many people might not know about this, but Juice Wrld’s original name was Jarad Anthony Higgins. He was born on 2 December 1998, in Chicago. However, Jarad was brought up by his single mother. Jared had an early interest in Hip Hop music. But his mother, being conservative and religious, didn’t let him listen to hip hop. He, however, found what he loved in video games. Subsequently, he got introduced to artists like Billy Idol, Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, and Panic at the Disco. On the other hand, Higgins got involved in drugs in his teen years.

Jarad had started learning piano at the age of 4, followed by guitar and drums. He also played trumpet for band class. Later, he began posting songs to his SoundCloud. His first ever track that he uploaded was “Forever”. He named himself Juice Wrld, which means “taking over the world”.

His first soundtrack “Too Much Cash” was released in 2017. Later, Higgins released his debut EP named ‘9 9 9’, on 15 June, 2017. The song ‘Lucid Dreams’, from his EP was a breakout. Consequently, he started receiving recognition from artists such as Southside and Waka Flocka Flame. Later, he signed with Grade A Productions, co-owned by Lil Bibby. After his recognition, Higgins released “Nothings Different”. He gave popular songs like “All Girls are the Same”, which along with ‘Lucid Dreams’ were his first Billboard chart entries.

After that, Jarad signed with Interscope Records. In 2018, ‘Lucid Dreams’ was officially released with a music video. All this was followed by new releases such as “Lean Wit Me”, “Goodbye & Good Riddance”, “Legends”, “Wasted”, etc. He also dedicated songs to Lil Peep and XXXTentacion. All along, he also collaborated and featured with many other artists. Prior to his death, he released some of the hits such as “All Night”, “Hate Me”, “Graduation” etc.

As mentioned above, he had a history with drug abuse. On 8 December, 2019, Higgins collapsed and died from a seizure caused by drugs. It happened at an airport in Chicago. His death shocked the entire world, leaving social media filled with grief.

After his death, his first appearance was in Eminem’s album, on “Godzilla” in January 2020. It peaked on the Billboard Hot 100. He was also included in G Herbo’s PTSD. On 23 April, Jarad’s first posthumous single “Righteous” was released. He was loved by many and was featured by many artists as tribute.
