How I Met Your Mother’s Cobie Smulders is going to bring Robin Sparkles back on-screen.
How I Met Your Mother has undoubtedly been one of the most well-received shows in the history of television series. When the show finally ended, it wasn’t received very well by fans as they were sad at the thought of their favourite show ending for good. It seems like Cobie Smulders has found a way to relive her character as Robin Sparkles once again. As per her latest post, she has been able to bring Robin Sparkles back for a special lockdown song.
According to the recent reports, Robin Sparkles has an alter ego wherein she reprises the character of Robin Scherbatsky. This is from her time as a Canadian pop singer. The actress has decided to bring the character back in her latest lockdown-themed version called ‘Let’s Go To The Mall.’ She has ended up renaming the song ‘Let’s All Stay At Home.’ The latest version of the song features lyrics such as ‘I have to go to Zoom school soon, at least until we’re all immune.’ It is quite comical, to say the least.
While she was singing, there was also a video of her playing the piano. She added more lyrics to her caption, wherein she wrote, “Here it is. I hope it takes your mind off some things. It certainly did for me! A huge thank you to Craig Thomas and Carter Bays for the new lyrics. And to Brian Kim, who helped compose this song originally. He wrote this new piano version and then rewrote it when it was too challenging for me. It was a wonderful journey down memory lane.”
The actress concluded in the video by kindly asking the others to donate to one of the three charities, i.e. Save The Children, Canada Helps, and Daily Bread Food Bank. Sometime last week, Smulders also made the decision of defending the finale episode of How I Met Your Mother. It did have quite a controversial ending. Robin was seen marrying Barney, however, it was later shown that she got divorced from him and ended up being back with Ted, soon after his children’s mother died from cancer. The fans were disappointed to see Robin and Barney split up but they were happy about the fact that they were able to discover true love in a time such as these.
