Hocus Pocus will be back with part 2 after 27 years of part 1

Hocus Pocus is a 1993 American comedy film directed by Kenny Ortega and written by Mick Garris. The first part was not that super hit with the audience. It has received mixed reviews from the critics and the fans. It was not a commercial success either. But still on Disney+ part 2 is happening 27 years after the release of part 1. The actual date of release is not announced yet.

Details Hocus Pocus 2 –

It will be a sequel of part 1 and will be made exclusively for Disney+. The sequel was announced in 2019, and no one was aware of what would be the story of part 2. Later it was announced that the co-producer would write the script of the story. The three original stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, will be seen in the same role.

As per sources, ideally, the trio of actresses will repeat their roles, rather than having a completely new role. Midler and Najimy are eager to appear in the sequel and hopes that part 2 is a huge success. The writer of part 1 also hinted that the trio would be back. The full cast details are yet to be announced.

Till now, nothing has been revealed about the plot of part 2. The trailer is also awaited by the audience. The film will be directed by Adam Shankman and written by Jen D’Angelo.

In the film, a villainous comedic trio of witches who are inadvertently resurrected by a teenage boy in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night is shown. The film was released in 1993 in the United States by Walt Disney Picture.
