Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, these two names never go without the mention of another. Ever since they came together as Ana and Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, these two names have become synonymous. Their chemistry was on fire, literally.
Hence, people were hoping for them to get together in real life. However, all they have ever been is friends. But what we hope is, Anastasia and Mr Grey, aka Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, might come back together for another movie soon. Certainly, your excited squeaks are understandable.

Even though we all desperately wanted for Jamie and Dakota to be a couple, but they always remained friends. There have been so many rumours regarding their relationship; initially about disliking each other to dating each other. These rumours persisted despite the fact that Jamie was married at the time of filming Fifty Shades of Grey. People couldn’t believe for the two of them being just friends when they showed steamy firing chemistry onscreen. In fact, Jamie once told Jimmy Kimmel, “This is going to sound bad, but it’s almost like a brother, sister.” Nonetheless, Jamie and Dakota are great friends who prank each other and send gifts. Also, Fifty Shades of Grey director, Sam Taylor-Johnson shut the rumours saying, “Everyone likes to gossip. And so many stories are utterly untrue. They’re funny and sweet together.”
Throughout the filming for the movie, they both maintained their distance and made sure to make each other comfortable. Dakota mentioned how Jamie would make her laugh during intense scenes to reduce the tension. Even Jamie did his best to make Dakota feel comfortable throughout the shoot. In an interview, Dakota claimed her relationship with Jamie was based on mutual trust and friendship. He would protect her and comfort her during tricky situations.
In addition, to shut the baseless rumors about differences between Jamie and Dakota, Jamie announced that he would promote Dakota’s film The Friend. And certainly, he kept his promise. In fact, Dakota is friends with Jamie’s wife Amelia Warner and she loves spending time with her and their kids. They have been seen outing together multiple times. Recently in an interview, while promoting The High Note, Dakota was asked to choose between Jamie and Christian. Apparently, Dakota chose Jamie over Mr Grey. She said, “Probably Jamie…he’s a lot funnier than Christian Grey.”
Where are they now?
Despite all these rumors, they both have maintained a good friendship and never let it affect their relationship with each other or their loved ones. Both of them have been busy but they try to catch-up with each other. Currently, Dakota Johnson is in a relationship with Chris Martin and Jamie is living a happy life with his wife and three kids.
