The makers have already announced that “Grace and Frankie” is coming up with the brand new season. The audience has to wait for the new season 7 to release as COVID has affected the production as many of the cast falls under the senior citizen group, and there are shooting restrictions for them. No official fixed date has been announced for the release.
In a media update, the show co-creator has mentioned that the new season shoot will start in 2021 at the earliest. She also stated that the production team would closely monitor how Hollywood would succeed in the fight against COVID so that they can take proper safety measures. “We’re not going to be the first production back [because] we have four cast members who are older. They’re not going to be the first ones back. We can’t be the ones to make any mistake. We are hoping that we get to see some other productions and see what works and be able to adapt the way we were going to shoot to these new guidelines. My sincere hope is that we’ll be back at work in January”, she shared in the interview.
