Google is planning its own retail store at Fulton Market District, Chicago

In the coming days, you can buy Google Pixel devices right from Google’s retail store. Even after being a serious hardware company, Google never had a retail store but it does have a lot of products to sell like the Pixel and Pixel XLs, wearOS smartwatch, Pixel Buds, Pixelbooks, Chromecast, Nest, and Daydream VR headsets and much more. According to a report published by Chicago Tribune, Google is planning to launch a two-story retail store spread across 14,000 square foot at Fulton Market District, near its headquarters in Chicago.

Google has been planning to establish its brick and mortar locations for more than two years now. In 2015, it came about subleasing a plot near the Apple Store in New York as well as inside Currys in London, etc. Once the retail locations are set up, Google could finally put its Pixel smartphones as well as other products on display for an all-around experience before buying. Apple does have a larger array of smartphones to display and sell but Google has a number of products to sell as well.

Google could allow other manufacturers like Samsung, LG, Sony, etc, to display their top-of-the-line products to fill up the huge space of the two-story building that Google plans to lease. Moreover, the Cupertino-based Apple sells around 10 percent of its iPhones from its stores located in different metropolitan cities and that certainly will boost the sales of Google products as well.
