With just two weeks left for the Samsung Note 9 to launch, its raining “Leaks” from Google which is slated to announce the third generation of Pixel devices. We already know that Google will unveil a regular Google Pixel 3 and a plus-sized Pixel 3 XL similar to the Pixel and Pixel 2 series launched earlier. There’s a lot of things that have been leaked about these two upcoming flagship smartphones from Google and here’s everything that has been said and done.
During a previous photo leak, we came to know that Google Pixel 3 XL will sport a dual-camera setup at the front with an iPhone X styled notch on the top with an aperture for speakers and host of other sensors. It will also host a second speaker at the bottom bezel. Flip the phone and you’ll see a fingerprint scanner mounted at the central position and a stunning single lens rear camera that takes awesome photos without the need of another rear camera which is something popularized by several smartphone brands now.
Previous leaks have also speculated that Pixel 3 XL will sport a glass back panel which means, Google will actually ditch its metal and glass back panel used in all other previous iterations and introduce an all-glass back panel that looks stunning.
You think that you know enough about the upcoming Google flagship smartphone? Think again because the latest photo leaked on XDA Developers with the user named ‘dr.guru’ shows a white-colored Pixel 3 XL with a stunning and crystal clear glass back. This implies that Google might introduce the Pixel 3 XL in a white colored variant too.
However, the device doesn’t boots up as Google has remotely disabled it. The device is a prototype of Engineering Validation Test (EVT 1.0) model with a 64GB, 4GB RAM configuration. The prototype gives an idea about how the device which actually looks like in actual once it is released.
What else? The device might support wireless charging which is something Google tried and stopped after rolling out 2016 Nexus 6. The front and the back glass which is called as glass sandwich design is touted to complement the device’ wireless charging capability. This was lately confirmed by 9to5Google which actually found a moniker for wireless charging through the term isn’t actually used anywhere in this quote that reads: “Your Assistant can use your personal info to make suggestions, answer questions, and take actions for you when your phone is locked and on your Pixel Stand”.
After reading it, you may wonder what’s Pixel Stand? Google is developing Pixel Stand that will be rolled out with Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL that will enable wireless charging to these and other supported devices. This is everything we know about the upcoming Google flagship smartphones which are yet to launch slot in October when the devices will be finally launched. Stay Tuned to know more.
