Godzilla and King Kong are probably the two most iconic fictional monsters in pop-culture, with each having several movies to their name. It seems we will finally get to see these two behemoths go head to head in an epic showdown in the upcoming movie Godzilla vs. Kong. The fourth installment in the current Monsterverse series and the sequel to Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the movie will be directed by Adam Wingard.

Godzilla vs Kong: Release Date
The movie is set to hit theatres on May 21, 2021. The initial release was in November 2020 but the COVID-19 situation caused a significant delay in production.
Filming for the movie wrapped in April 2019. It is currently in the post-production stage.

Godzilla vs Kong: The Plot
Not much is known of the actual plot for the upcoming movie, however, as the title suggests, we will definitely get two see Godzilla and Kong battle head-on. Whether it’s a battle to the death or a result of some misunderstanding is anyone’s guess. It’s more likely to be the latter of the two outcomes since, gathering from earlier movies, it’s unlike either of the giants to go on a killing spree unnecessarily. It might be human influence that pits the two against each other in the first place.
An earlier synopsis released for the movie indicates that the movie takes place in the near future in which humans have learned to co-exist with the Titans, with Monarch overseeing operations. It might be that opposing factions trying to harness the power of the titans for destructive purposes might set off a chain of events that bring Kong face-to-face with Godzilla in the first place.
Rest assured, the movie will be action-packed and full of ground-shaking, mind-blowing CGI.
