After 12 episodes that were received well by fans, Goblin slayer season 2 is finally returning after nearly 2 years. Although no official announcement has been made, it is highly likely that we’ll get the announcement early next year. However, the manga of the show has around 12 volumes so far so it is very evident that the anime is due to catch up.
The show is based on a light novel by Kumo Kagyu and is also available as Mangas, anime television series and film. Takaharu Ozaki directed the series. Hideyuki Kurata and Yosuke Kuroda penned the series. The show succeeded in collecting a large fanbase after its first season. It first came out on October 7th 2018. Further, the series ended on December 30, 2018. The show also saw a movie come out earlier this year in February. However, the film was not much of a success and did not receive a huge box office. The original language of the series is Japenese but the show has been dubbed to English. The show has an exciting and unique plot and is definitely something fans want to see in 2021.

Plot
Goblin Slayer revolves around a magical world where adventurers earn their living by completing tasks and contracts. The jobs they do are often dangerous and don’t always go well. Among these adventurers, a young priestess takes up a contract that goes horribly south. Her group get attacked by goblins and everyone except her gets killed. Thankfully for her, an experienced adventurer who dedicated himself to killing goblins comes in and saves her. The man calls himself the goblin slayer.
However, the next season is expected to continue on the same lines as the manga and reveal many surprises on the way. We will also be shown the much-awaited characters like the dark elf and the goblin king. We can further follow the adventures of the Goblin Slayer while he goes on to get rid of the goblins.

Although the show isn’t as popular as some of the other anime out there, the show is surely making a strong claim to be up there with them. With the arrival of the next season, the show could really cement its place as a must-watch anime!
