“F9”, the next instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise has delayed its theatrical release by almost a year. Universal Studios has now pushed the release date to 2021.
Vin Diesel said in an interview: “It’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May.”
“Fast 9” was initially scheduled to release this year in the United States on May 22, 2020. It is one of the highest-grossing franchise delivering amazing action sequences, stunt work, and a superb cast.
The ninth successive movie in the franchise is being directed by Justin Lin. The screenplay is written by Daniel Casey. Dom and Co. will return for the ninth chapter in the saga. Here’s a detailed list of what you can expect from the movie.
Is the trailer released yet?
The trailer for the ninth chapter arrived on January 31. “No matter how fast you are, no one can outrun the past”.
The plot raises the pertinent question and reveals what we can expect from the movie. And, is Han back? It appears that he is because the trailer introduces him once again as he remarks “Nice Clubhouse”. And, it also appears that Letty knew that Han was alive since always.
The filming of this movie was carried out in Los Angeles, London, Edinburgh, Thailand and Georgia.

Who will be seen in F9?
Vin Diesel is back as Dom, Michelle Rodriguez will be seen as Letty. Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges plays Tej and Tyrese Gibson plays Roman, John Cena is seen as Jakob. Jordana Brewster is seen as Mia, Nathalie Emmanuel is seen as Ramsey, and Lucas Black will play Sean Boswell in the upcoming movie.
When will it hit the theatres?
The coronavirus pandemic has delayed the premiere of the movie by an entire year. The new release date has been 28 of May 2021. The delay in the release date of Fast and Furious 9 was confirmed in March. It was at first moved to 2nd of April, 2021, which was again pushed back by six weeks to release at the end of May. The film is a sequel to 2017 Fast and Furious movie, The Fate of the Furious.
