The Expendables 4 is one of the most awaited movies since the franchise released its last sequel. The third movie released in 2014 and since then the fans have been anticipating for a new one. The team releases the sequels to the movie within a gap of two years. However, the scenario is slightly complicated this time. In 2014, it was announced the series has two more installments on the way but this was further changed. The actor and writer Sylvester Stallone announced the Expendables 4 to be the last one. The developments of the movie took a halt when Sylvester Stallone decided to leave the team due to disagreements with the script. Along with him, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ji Chang-Wook, and Tony Jaa decided to leave. This left the fans disappointed.
However, in January 2018, Sylvester brought back hope by announcing his return and renewal of the movie. The last update was given in August when a Spanish distribution company announced The Expendables 4 as their upcoming movie. Patrick Huges will be directing the film. The release date can be expected in the year 2021 or 2022 as the movie requires a lot of work and the novel pandemic can also act as an obstacle.

The Expendables: Their story
The movie follows the life of a group of mercenaries who crossed paths to complete missions assigned to them. Barney Ross is the leader of the squad. In the three movies, the group is involved in missions from overthrowing a Latin American dictator to fighting against their leader’s long lost rival. In Expendables season 3, we see Ross recruit new and young members to help the team fight his rival whom he thought to be dead.
Along with this Jean-Claude Van Damme has put forward a suggestion to feature him as the antagonist for the upcoming movie. Expendables season 4 is expected to bring in more action and adventures for its viewers.
