American teen drama television series, Euphoria got massive attention of viewers worldwide when it first premiered on HBO on June 16, 2019. The show created by Sam Levinson shows how a group of high school students go through their experiences of sex, drugs, friendships, love, identity, and trauma. Season 1 witness humongous success and received positive reviews from critics. Season 2 was destined to happen and one month after seeing the popularity of season 1, HBO confirmed Euphoria season 2 back in July 2019.
It was reported that Euphoria saw over 550,000 viewers per episode, the series premiere was seen by more than 5.5 million viewers across HBO’s platforms.

Euphoria season 2 release date: When will Euphoria season 2 air?
As of now, there is no word from HBO on the release date. However, it was previously expected to come out in June 2020. Due to coronavirus pandemic, production of the season is on halt and will witness a delay of at least six months as creators and actors are in lockdown. So we can expect Euphoria season 2 to release in the first quarter of 2021.

All major players in the season 1 will be back in season 2. “I think Euphoria taught me a lot about myself. It made me more confident in my own abilities, because I doubted myself a lot,” Zendaya said. “I was looking for something to prove I can do it,” she says. “Euphoria served as that, in the healthiest way. I never want to plateau as an actress – I always want to be able to explore and push myself. [Being an actress] brings me to places and makes me do things I’d probably never do because I’m such an introverted person.”
“Even though Euphoria coming out was amazing and exciting, it was also extremely stressful. It gave me a lot of anxiety every week,” she further added. “That’s something I deal with; I have anxiety. I already know after this interview is over, I’m going to spiral about it for weeks.”
Euphoria season 2 plot: What will happen in Euphoria season 2?
As of now, it is too early to accurately predict what will happen in the upcoming season as the first part of the show that consisted of 8 episodes has just ended. However, several fans’ theories are surfacing over the internet suggest that Rue might return in the second season. Fortunately, creator Sam Levinson has since confirmed that Zendaya’s character is very much alive still.
While speaking of season 2, Zendaya said, “I literally can’t wait. I just want to get back to it so bad. I miss it.” Zendaya further said, “I couldn’t even begin to describe it if I tried.” As if we weren’t already excited enough!
