Edge of Tomorrow is an American 2014 science fiction action movie, which is also known as Live Die Repeat, directed by Doug Liman. The movie is adapted from the 2004 Japanese novel, All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
The movie, Edge of Tomorrow, takes place in the future where most of Europe is under the reign and captured by the aliens. Major Williams, a public relations officer, played by Tom Cruise with no combat experience, was forced by his superiors to undertake the mission against the aliens.
The movie was released on 30 May 2014 worldwide, and it was received positively by the critics and audience. Edge of Tomorrow was praised for its direction, writing, acting, and action sequences of Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. The sequel of Edge Of Tomorrow is under progress, which is titled, Live Die Repeat 2.

The plot of the sequel is not revealed yet. The first movie ended with Rita, played by Emily Blunt, and Cage, played by Cruise, diving into a deadly situation while fighting and destroying, Omega.
The creators haven’t yet announced any details regarding the sequel; it is anticipated that the sequel will be more interesting than the first one with brilliant action sequences and engaging plot.

It is certain that Tom Cruise will reprise his role as Major Cage. Other than him, the cast for the sequel is not yet known. It might be possible that the old cast will reprise their roles that include Emily Blunt, Brendon Gleeson, Charlotte Riley, Noah Taylor, Jonas Armstrong, Kick Gurry, Franz Drameh, Tony Way, and few others.
Release Date of Edge of Tomorrow 2
The official release date is not known yet about the sequel of Edge of Tomorrow. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, the production has been halted. It was initially decided to release by 2021, but now studying the situation, it seems like the sequel won’t be releasing anytime before 2022.
