The fans have been anticipating over Defending Jacob 2 after the first season was aired. However, we cannot confirm any renewal of the show as of now. Plot
The Avengers’ fans would have been happy to see Chris Evans being part of the Defending Jacob cast. However, Chris Evans is portraying the lead role of Jacob’s father. Jacob is a 14-year-old but unlike most kids of that age, his life isn’t about normal teenage problems. He has been convicted of murder when his classmate Ben was found murdered. Andy, Jacob’s father does not believe this and thinks it to be the other prime suspect who is a sex offender. However, Laurie, Jacob’s mother is not able to take in the uncertainty and guilt. She begins to find reasons to believe her son is a killer.
The show ends with the court letting go of Jacob after the other prime suspect wrote a confession letter and suicided. Further, we find out that Andy’s father who is a prisoner is behind the suicide. The question still remains if Jacob is the killer. The show leaves a question on the mind of its viewers, Is unconditional love above what is right?
