Death Note directed by Shūsuke Kaneko is a Japanese film that aired in 2006. This film is the second live-action Japanese movie released in 2006. The storyline is based on the Death Note manga and anime series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Country of origin is Japan and the original language is Japanese.
This manga has a total of 108 chapters which have been published in 12 editions. Japan’s very popular animation adapted this manga to make shows and also included 37 episodes. Tetsuro Archie’s help make Madhouse expand this animated series in a vast. This film earnt a Box office collection of ¥5.5 billion in Japan and $54 million worldwide.

As we all know Season one was a conclusion itself. In finale season, protagonist Light Yagami lost to his arch-rival Ryuk. In which he dies after that but due to a lot of twists we never know what comes.

This movie was released on November 3′ 2006 in Hong Kong and 24 November 2006 in Taiwan, December 28′ 2006 in Singapore, in Malaysia on January 25, 2007 with English and Chinese subtitles. Later it was dubbed in English and was released in many theaters of America for two nights only on 15th and 16th October of 2008. The DVD was out in the market on 10th February 2009.
There is very less chances for another season to come. There’s no official notice for reorganizing any part of the franchise. But due to it’s high appreciation maybe creators will look upon and make their fans happy again.
