Although there isn’t an official date for the release and we could be waiting for a long time. Deadpool 3 is still one of the most anticipated movies right now. Following the major success of its predecessors, the foul-mouthed anti-hero is finally returning. Since Deadpool took less than a year to finish its filming, we can hope to see the third part dropping in 2022.
The David Leitch directed movie that first dropped on February 12th, 2016 was an instant hit. The movie, starring Ryan Reynolds initially turned in around 782.6 million against a budget of 58 million. Featuring a lot of adult humour and gruesome violence, Deadpool 1 and 2 makes it into the top 10 highest grossing R rated movies of all time.

Plot
So far, no one has any idea which direction the third movie will go down. With even Ryan Reynolds admitting he had doubts about how the film would take shape. Speculations include that Deadpool 3 would even venture further down Cable’s story and show more of his family and, in particular, his daughter Hope. In the comics, Hope seems to have a preeminent role to play in the future of mutants, which could be interesting to watch.
The end of the second movie also saw Cable’s time machine get fixed, and that allowed Deadpool to travel back and fix several of his past mistakes. This opens the doors for a time travel based movie where Deadpool solves a mystery from either the past or the future.
Cast and characters
Deadpool always has very unexpected twists in the movie but the one certainty in this movie is that we’ll be seeing Ryan Reynolds return as Deadpool. If we’re going by the cast of the second movie, we could also expect:
- Josh Brolin as Cable
- Zazie Beetz as domino
- Stefan Kapicic as Colossus
- Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic teenage warhead
Although nothing has been confirmed and this is mere speculation.
